When you lead worship, what is your ultimate goal? Do you know what your pastor is looking for? It's important to capture your pastor's heart because he is more than likely looking to his music team to set a dynamic atmosephere. Say it with me. ATMOSPHERE.
Obviously we are not talking about a mere musical extravaganza displaying our talents and musical acrobatics. That's not enough. why? because music in itself does not transform people. We have to usher in something very special. Our job is to draw people in setting ourselves on fire.
The Old Testament calls this atmosphere The Glory Cloud. It was an actual physical cloud of Glory which entered into the temple of Solomon.
It happened when singers and musicians worshiped together with one mind.
